Anyways I called Alpine about it, they said no, but that could be mandatory for them to say that so I dunno. Anyone try this?

I wanted to try my 9813 face plate on my friends 9811 but he wouldnt let me.

Well I'm just curious, because the head units are pretty much the same internals, I don't think the 9815 has the V-Drive amp does it? (too lazy to look) I just know I like the face a bit better and don't want to shell out a lot of cash for a look and less features. (I love the 9813 to death).

If anyone can try this it would be great!

i know ive tried my 9813 faceplate on my 9811.....or the other way around i forget...all the functions do not work, but it still powered up and played fine for me.
