I paid $130 for mine 5 year ago used on ebay but it's still in perfect condition. Great cd player! I use it on my tesy bench now. I like it better than any of the higher end alpines they made during that time-I've owned them all and they were way to complicated. This unit is straight foward and sounds awesome.

I think I paid like $75 for mine in near mint condition off eBay about a year ago. It's a pretty decent unit, but there's really nothing to it other than 4 volt pre outs. I've also got a 9827 that I'm letting my cousin use in his car. That was in mint condition until he wore out the lettering on the buttons. I'm thinking I can switch the buttons from the 9807 (which doesn't work well anymore) with the 9827 to get that "mint" look again. They're identical units, just a different year.

I'm hoping to find someone who might be able to repair this head unit. The faceplate doesn't slide out at all.

The cutting it off part is what I'm confused about now. The speakers in my car have two wires coming off of them but I would only have one wire on...
