Alpine CDA 7998 Won't fit 06 F250...Please help!

WOOO HOOO...I got it to fit awesome...I had to take off the mechanism that attaches the unit to the cage on each side. Then I attached the unit using the dash kit supplied brackets. and viola...It fit like a glove.

I am so glad I didn't sell it, It sounds and looks awesome.

Well, after two days I decided I need a better ipod interface. I bought the PAC to Ainet cable but like to control the ipod through the deck. I thought I wouldn't mind but I after driving my wifes car with the 9885, it made wanting better ipod userbility. It is a shame since this headunit is truly Alpines flagship. It sounds and looks incredible installed.

I am putting it back up for sale and waiting on my 9887.

What a waste of a quality head unit, playing that overly compressed garbage through it with an iPod - bleech. It is designed to provide stellar results with redbook CD's and other lossless formats. Should have just kept the stock radio and used a cheap FM transmitter for that junky iPod.

Man, that stinks you're selling it. I absolutely love my 7998....of course, I don't do the "Ipod thing" either, myself.

Well it is the reason your selling it right? Enjoy your 9887 when you get it. You'll have no trouble selling the 7998.
