i'm just about to buy this head-unit, and i want from owners or people that heard the 7894 is it good ?, how is the mp3 decoder,? and any one heared about any prolems with that head unit?

I own the 7894 its a really good deck load isnt very long at all for mp3 decoder to load the songs. Has really good SQ, it pushes my comps for right and it dose that very well. and never had a prob with it yet but only had my whole system in for about a week.

i also have that model and im with th guy above me you put in the mp3 and bam that music starts playin ve had it for about 3 months now and i still have no problem with it what so ever i might selling it if interested dont knowhow much gotta see if any one knows about the kenwood touch screen.But ober all i would buy another one with out a doubt and SQ is excelent.i love it.

Gday mate.

that is an excellent Head Unit. Ive had mine for a few months now myself, and its pure quality. It has a MX function button on it, and what it does is it reads the data and brings the frequency up to as close to its original state as possible, so all that quality you lose when the mp3 is compressed is almost brought back up to its original CD state.

Even Radio sounds like having a CD playing.... its an extremely good headunit.

Only grip i have with it, is that its got no clock (no time display) , text scroll is too slow .... (hehehe yeah i know im getting picky now) and mp3s fast forward slower than CDs do.

I highly reccomend this deck!

I just got a 7894 the other day, i love it. The media expander, mx, makes the mp3's sound phenomenal. Certainly a good choice for my first head unit.

Hey Komra,

Do you have a Clock on your Deck though??? i can't find a clock function at all on mine and its not in the manual either........ there is no clock is there??
