alpine cda-7893 vs pioneer premiere deh-p860mp for SQ

I am going to be running my creative mp3 player through aux in and looking for a cheap headunit. I can get very good deals on either a pioneer premiere DEH-p860mp unit which has basically a 13band eq, OEL display, 6.5v preouts that junk

or the alpine cda-7893 which doesnt do mp3 i assume but has the Vdrive amp (which i wont be using) and not sure what other specs.

I got the pioneer for $120 already and i can pick up the alpine for $80 maybe less even.

I would choose the 860MP, simply for the extra flexibility it offers.

The 7893 isn't a bad basic deck (I used to own one), but the onboard processing it offers just doesn't cut the mustard if you're halfway serious into SQ...

yea like jack said, go for the pioneer. tuning is huge if you are going for SQ.

btw, those are pretty good prices for those HUs. where are you getting that at?

I say go with the 860 at that price. The tuning features and flexibility are nice.

24-bit DACs, 3-way xover, 6.5V preout, phase alignment, EQ, etc.

Yes, Pioneer does "make" SQ.

The 860 will kill the 7893, then slap it silly.I don't even think the alpine has a chance.
