Alpine cda 117 Issue

I have an issue with my ipod staying connected to the usb port on my alpine cda 117. It will all of a sudden stop playing and will display a no usb detected message then say searching and reconnect. It does this constantly and I am 75 percent sure it is not the wiring. Has anyone else had issues with this head unit or any other and know how to fix it?

I have the same headunit and have owned it ~1 year now but I haven't had this problem. I love the thing except for it's super slow read time for Ipod and USB though... Interested in finding out what's going on with your headunit as well though...

I have had it for 1 month. I may make a warranty claim on it

Update: today i was at a red light and my ipod started playing in double time then ejected and would not connect again until i restarted my head unit

I have this hu installed in my old car and i never had this problem but at ime my ipod didnt want to be recognize when i disconected my ipod and then turn of the car or hu. i had to go trought the whole restarting process thingy.
