Alpine being underrated !!!!!!!!!!

Well, i was looking through all of my car audio papers (manuals, etc.) and came upon a verification certificate for my Alpine MRD-M501 amp. I got to looking at it and saw that the specs had it listed at 550w and the actual had it at 612.5w, tested at 14.4v (hand written in). I know Alpine is underrated, but i didnt think it was by this much, thats 62.5w! Do any of yall have this card and can post the specification vs the actual? I'd like to get an idea of how much underrated Alpine is. Plus, it could help others in making amp decisions, maybe.

Well why dont companies promote their products with the actual rated power instead of way below it? I mean that would help sell them, that extra 60 watts.

Who is going to buy a 612.5 watt amp???

Also it is another way to market and sell them. By underrating most people, as you have, will go about saying how great it is. Due to the underrating.

on the box is 12v on that paper is 14v...

and the power they saw was bench test.. not inside a car.

i have 2 and the birth sheets were 597.1 and 591.4
