Alpine and Orion

I am going to get a new 12" Alpine Type R ( dual 2 ohms ) and power it by an Orion 6002. I was going to get the 600D and the dual 4 ohm model, but the 600D wasn't available at ikesound. The Type R is $120, the amp is $160 ( refurbished ). What I want to know is how this setup is going to sound, is it a good combo. I have yet to make an enclosure, so any suggestions are welcome. Also, do you think this setup will hit harder than two Comp VR 12's, sealed, powered by a Soundstorm Force "1600 watt" amp.

fvck the 6002 get a 1200D and work the hell out of that type r(gains set properly of course)

his subs are dual 4 ohms, so the amp is bridged to supposedly 800 watts rms. They are the 2003 model, the tan and black ones, and i dont want the 1200d because i am on a really tight budget and its $50 more which is 50 bucks i need for the box.

if what people are saying about the type rs are true, you may be able to get some good output out of your sub. He does have double the cone area on you though.
