My 9887 took a dump on me and I am being given a new one and have hte possibility of moving over to the CDA-117. Does this thing have the EQ built in or do I have to purchase imprint? Is it worht moving over to this unit if it cost me nothing to do it? I like that it has USB ability. Thx for any Advice!

go to alpine webpage and download the instruction manuals for all 3.

go to sonic electronics and compare the features.

9886 is the most basic. basic eq ,hpf and all

117 is a step up has more eq options and more hpf and time allignment

9887 has a BASS ENGINE PRO ( the full package) but doesnt come with a USB
