Alpine 9884 vs 9886 - 4v preouts worth the extra ~$65

As far as a comparison goes I don't know

But I can tell you that I just got my 9884 and it's a great headunit, looks great too, Ipod works well with it aswell.

Yeah, my old 9856 had 2v and i was happy with it. I dont really understand the whole voltage thing so I was just curious if it makes a difference. because i'm pretty strapped for cash at the moment. But ive wanted at the 9884 since it came out.

is it worth 65 dollars more when im on a tight budget?
thats up to you to decide. ive found that when it comes to car audio its better to be patient and save for what you are sure you want. that way ur not sitting there wondering if what you settled for could of sounded better if you woulda just been patient.

at the end of the day its a big waste of money if you spend money for something ur not happy with

very true. and i know lower gains means lower temps. and since my amp will be under my seat...... top and bottom both touching the seat i think it could get kinda hot....
