My EQ is:

Bass: 0

Bass bandwidth: 1

Bass center frequency: 80hz

Treble: 5

Treble center frequency: 12.5khz

Loudness: on

HPF: off

Sub system: 2

Sub level: 15

I mainly listen to Hip-Hop, Rap, and R&B. I want my sub to hit harder. Any suggestions? Does keeping the sub level at 15 distort sound? Should I change any of the settings? Thanks.

Well all I can say is that if you have your gains set correctly, having the subwoofer at 15 shouldn't cause distortion.

I had one. All my stuff was always on zero, loudness off. But then again my 'system' involves more than a sub and sub amp.

You have 12.5K boosted alot and that's really not where the 'meat and potatos' of most music really is. Do those piercing distorted highs hurt your ears or does it sound good to you?

In other threads you've mentioned being a bass head and aren't quite satisfied with the loudness of the sub and yet you've boosted your highs over your bass frequencies. If you want to hear the treble boost the treble and leave the bass flat. If you want more bass cut the treble slightly and boost the sub frequencies.
