I'm upgrading from 2 mtx 12's running at 600watts combined power with no added power supply to 4 MTX T7510-44 10" 1600w DVC CAR SUBWOOFERS SUBS that run at 400w rms at 4ohms. They will be powered by 2 MTX AUDIO 1000XD MONO BLOCK 2000W AMP CAR AMPLIFIER running at 700w rms at 4ohms. My 1 and only concern is power. There seems to be a decent amount of debate over dual batteries vs H/O alternator. When running 1400w rms what would be the best bet. 2 optima yellowtops or 1 optima yellowtop and a new alternator.

2 optimas
you probably arent pulling near enough amperage to need a H/O alt.

for daily, IMO i wouldnt get a H/O alt until your over 2,000rms
x2 I've got a 2001 Expedition and they've got a pretty darn good stock alternator in them. You may even want to try it with just an Optima under the hood and see how it holds up.

i agree with the rest of the responses. i run 1500 rms in my s10 though, and i do need an HO alt., mostly because i run a ppi pc2350 for subs, which is a class a/b amp. it pulls a buttload of power.
