Alpine 9884 Headunit

My subs slapped a little bit harder with the stock deck of a 1996 toyota camry. I got the Alpine 9884 Headunit installed with my sub and it doesn't slap as hard. I have the bass at 0, the treble at 7. Is there something else I should do with the EQ?

Adjust your sub level on the HU, set your gain appropriately on amp.

On an Alpine HU anything less than the maximum on the subwoofer level controls is actually an attenuation of the signal being sent from the head unit to the sub amp. Also, cut your treble.
