Clarion DXZ785USB and Ipod - Issues..

Had my Clarion DXZ785USB for a few weeks now, finally got around to trying it with my Ipod.

Soon as I connect it, I get error 2. Acording to the manual, this would indicate my files are improperly encoded.

This is bogus, files are plain old MP3 files and the 4th gen Ipod is in Windows mode. (Shows up as a drive in windows). Works just fine with some of my older HU's with ipod control.

Anyone else run into this?

Well, this is **** annoying I guess I need to call Clarion.

I just tried another Ipod, different model, different generation and get the same Error 2 message.

No DRM files on either unit..

Well, just found this PDF:

This headunit sucks, if your looking to buy one and don't have a more modern ipod, forget about it. Nano, 5th gen video, Classic, and touch are the only ones is controls.

You really gotta love the way the owners manual says nothing about compatible ipods.

I'll stick with my 4 year old pioneers that play any ipod I throw at them!
