Alpine 9855 or 9887??

ok, Im having a hard time figuring out if I wanna buy the 9855 or the 9887?/

Depends on what you wanna do with it.

9887: 24- bit, TA, 7 band graphic eq, or 5 band parametric eq, Media expander, 3 way active crossover..

9885: Subwoofer control, and a high pass filter. lol.

9887 just for the fact that it doesn't have the stupid glide touch.

Ya, im pretty impressed with my 9853, which is the little brother to the 9855.

yea, i seen the specs on the 9887, and wow... its really a good headunit... I guess im selling my 979 and saving up to get this...

9855 was probably the best HU ive owned....the glidetouch is annoying at first but once you get the hang of it its not bad..... if i wasnt so dependent on having my navigation system (avn5435) id still have the 9855.

make sure you really get the concept of all the bells and whistles though.....i understood how to use the 3 way active processor and all but never quite got the EQ set very well.....it just never sounded right....my avn sounds much much better but im sure it was just operator error lol

yea, I got the eq down I think lol , but on my x979... It just dosnt sound right, its like its missing something... but maybe its me but I like the features on the 9887

i bought the 9885 as the 9887 wasent avasible when i got it i wish id bought the 9887 but now stuff alpine i bought the pioneer and thats the siznet so im happy
