Alpine 9835 vs waiting 9855

i only found 3 of them within 20 miles of my house. i bought mine new with 3 year warranty for $480. i very happy with the purchase. i personally dont think the new one is worth the wait.

Date on the 9855 changed to from 5/20 to 4/15 on crutchfield. Lower on the page it still says the unit is not expected until May.

thats way too long to wait for it IMO. i would buy a cheap HU that could sustain me until then and see if the 9855 is worth it. it u dont like it, then look for those people "upgrading" their 9835's to 9855's. theyll probably be selling their 35's for a decent price. just like dabigkaluna said, i use my remote way more than the actual HU interface.

discountsjungle.com is sellin the 35 for 469, depends how much you all want it to pay that price. Just figured Id throw it out there.
