alpine 9827 or 9830

i know a few of u guys have this deck (9827)..so could u guys give me your impressions of this deck..good/bad etc..??

i'm really interested in this deck the only problem i see with it is the 2 band eq, bass/treble...

would this affect the overall sq of my system.??

cuz my other option is to save a little more and buy the 9830. it has a 4 band eq.

i have the 9827 and i love it, i think i'd really like to have an alpine w/ the 4/5 band parametric EQ though, not sure if the 9830 has it, but i know that the higher models do have it.

Yea the 9830 has 4 band parametric eq. It really helps you take control of the sound. I like it much better than other eq's from different brands even though it's a bit more complicated to learn at first.

I have the 9830. I love it. I notice a difference in sq. I mean, 2 band is good...but 4 band is better. You can fine tune more frequencies to your preferences.

 

At first you really need to have the manual handy to learn the operation of the hu completely.

 

Put it short & to the point, if you need to ask the question you are asking...sounds like you crave the better sounds of the 9830. Save a little more & get it.
