I just recently upgraded from a crap sony cdx-5700 and I LOVE this new Alpine but i feel that i got more high tones out of my Inifinty 3.5"s while using the cheap Sony deck. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif There is no simple TREBLE or BASS control on it to turn it up either //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif I think i have been through all the options and set my equalizer to my preference but the high tone frequencies are all the way up and I am still not as pleased as with my Sony. These are just in the front speakers. The back 6x9"s sound very nice.

Anything option I might be missing or can someone help me out?

Let me know. Thanks

Mick

Current System:

Alpine - 9815

2 12" Kicker Comp VR's

1800 W Kenwood 9152 D Amp (450 x 2 @ 2ohm)

(2) 3.5" Inifinty Kappas

(2) 6x9" Inifinty Kappas

What is the DFU? and the MX control makes it sound a lot better. Anyone with this deck know any tweaks or anything? or any menus im not getting to. im pretty sure i know my deck and all its features. Let me know.

Thanks

Yes I have messed with the x-over settings for my FRONT speakers and its at 200Hz which is the most treble i can get out of the deck. and i DO NOT have i-personalize //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif Why isnt there a simple *** TREBLE control on it? its not that hard to do!

Any more info would be great

Thanks

lol maybe its not simple cuz it's high end..when I mess with the crossovers on my 9835 not only can you move it horizontal(to get diff frequencies) but you can move it up and down to get different levels, move your sub all the way down and the front speakers all the way up, see if you get the sound you want

In the EQ menu, put everything on flat, and go to the last frequency setting. Turn that up to about 4-5 (it goes up to 7). On an Alpine, it is common to have your volume be between 20-25, then adjust the EQ from there.
