swapping decks???

i have a panasonic deck in the car right now can i swap it for another panasonic with out cutting and reattaching wires, just unplug and plug

Most likely - so long as the replacement Panasonic uses the same wiring harness as the one you are taking out.

You're probably looking at something similar to what I have experienced in my car with my die-hard loyalty to Kenwood eXcelon HUs....they use the same wiring harness as well as the same cage (the mounting sleeve)

To upgrade decks all I had to do was slide the old one out, disconnect everything from the back of it (RCAs, wiring harness, and antenna lead) then reattach all that to the new unit and slide it into the dash.
