what the good things about either HU? which would be the best for my setup? and does either have Tilt? and which do u personally like. set up is in sig.

The 8443 doesn't have the tilt option? I thought for sure it did(quite sure my 8053 did).

I beg to differ as I used the tilt option on a previous 8443 unit I owned. Like the 8053, you had to hold down a button -- I think it was the eject button, but don't remember -- and it would give you minute angles.

BTW, I sold my 9815 and bought the 8443. Clearly the Eclipse bested Alpine in all areas of SQ. It happened again when I A/B'ed the 9855 vs. 8455. And while Alpine significantly improved the SQ from 9815, it still was lagging behind the Eclipse 8455.

weird- owned the 8443 for a year and was not aware the face tilted for display purposes- i know it flipped to release cd's
