Alpine 3552 Remote Plug?

Okay so im installing a oldschool alpine 3552, and i noticed the remote on it seems to be a 2 pin plug like thing? Okay i have a few suggestions.... Could i solder my 12v remote wire to one on the two "pins" Or would i have to take the pins out and go directly to the curcuit board.. OR is it a normal power source(positive and negative)? i dont know what to do im stuck and the amp wont turn on cause the remote wire :// help please.!
