so i have this amp and im going to put it in a durango pushing 2 Alphasonik Mayhem 12s. Some people have told me that i have to run more then one batt is this true? i have a 1.2 cap and a yellow top under the hood? am i going to need a new altenator? PLZ HELP ME!

What would this do?

Running that much power is going to draw a lot of current. You need to supply that current with heavy wire. Running 1/0 to the rear, and branching to ~4 gauge with a distribution block is the way to go.

i have the amp turned way down and i have 4 g running all the way is that good with a red top and a 1.2 cap

i have two mayhems running by a ma audio hk series 4400rms amp. i changes the alternator and bought a kinetik battery that gives 1900 amps i also have a 25 farad capacitor. wires are 1/0 gauge you need that. as for the quality. trust me you will not be able to stay in your car bumping those mayhems. these are alphasoniks best. stay away from optimas they are made by interstate batteries and ****. kinteiks is the way to go...
