my rides the same way, I did just what you did and removed all the sheetmetal supports and every now and then I pull the back seats out and yea it's a big difference in air flow and a little louder but it turns out loading off the trunk is much louder but facing into the cab looks pretty pimp.
brah sealing it off from the trunk completely is louder. mine was just made to use the trunk as a loading wall. my port scores *****

subs forward port side is pretty ******* in trunks.
what are tha star words?

i was thinking (from a idea) 2 boxes each with a 3 common wall port one port on drivers and one on the other. just an idea. if not im doing a 4.5'' 3 common wall port around 38 im missing those high notes.

I would but I want the car to look stock most of the time and when I turned the box around with the trunk area open and the back of the box against the trunk there was no need to seal it off as the trunk was/is part of the cab, and as it stands loading my subs as close to the trunk as possible is the only thing controlling them as they are WWWWAAAAYYYYYYY overpowered but do great as long as there under the pressure of the trunk lid. But the second you pop the trunk you can't get anywhere near the same volume level before reaching the mechanical limit.

thats a single sundown 3k @.5 ports fired to drivers side box was tuned to 28hz it was a daily ground pounder he wanted the lows to shine car peaked 31hz and did 149.7 at the head on music 2 6" aeros
