removing your seats may gain you 1dB but asking for 3dB is saying you were losing half your output... which is quite optimistic. seats, especially cloth, don't block much of anything.

it feels like a good 1 after the metal came out. lots more air.

hmm it seems quieter now somehow. but alot more air gets in. but the high bass like 40+ is lacking. and my box is quiet without loading off anything anyway. but when i do a wall im doing all new designs so we shall see

Having the box the other way around was probably acting like a 6th order setup and messing around with your tuning

my rides the same way, I did just what you did and removed all the sheetmetal supports and every now and then I pull the back seats out and yea it's a big difference in air flow and a little louder but it turns out loading off the trunk is much louder but facing into the cab looks pretty pimp.
