all you tweeterholics......

you need to start researching passive crossover construction and electrical theory on impedance and how it varies with frequency.

the real kicker is that passive crossover design requires testing as well. you don't know where you want your crossover point, and at what slope, until you hear it. Most successful crossover designs have half a dozen iterations. that means you want your crossover to be accessible and easy to tweak. for the testing phase i find insulated terminal strips to be very handy for capacitor and inductor swapping. you just prewire for the slope and play with values.

Build an excel spreadsheet that allows you to determine what standard component values you can use. it is going to take some time - if someone helps you, offer to pay them like $10/hr of their time - just to give you diagrams of what to build and determine component values. If you want them to build crossovers for you - pay them $20/hr.

Parts Express has all of the components you need, they also have PC boards ready to accept caps and inductors for a 2-way network. They have tables with component values as well.

PM me if you want me to email you those tables and spreadsheets.
