all you tweeterholics......

Need to point me in the direction of a good set of tweeters to go along with my Image Dynamics CX62 midbass drivers, that I just bought (for $20 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif) I had originally planned on running PG RSD's, but I couldn't pass up these drivers.

So what tweeters would you recommend? I plan on deadening the front doors & then sealing off the ID's with fiberglass pods. Should I mount the tweeters next to them, in the factory dach location, or maybe the a-pillar?

**keep in mind I originally planned on running PG RSD's, I am on a budget. Don't want to spend an outrageous amount on tweeters, just something that will blend well with the ID's. I prefer something that is smooth, not harsh or bright. 90% of my Ipod is classic rock (AC/DC, Pink Floyd, Motley Crue, The Eagles, etc.), if that helps.

Morel has some affordable tweeters and some awesome tweeters. having heard and installed teh CX62 i think the Morels would be a good choice.

you'll need to run them active or build your own passive crossovers - unique to the drivers.

This is a measurement of an Image Dynamics CX62 2 ohm woofer and a 2 ohm tweeter through the supplied crossover. Notice that it isn't 2 ohm very long or often. But the minimum impedance is referred to as the nominal impedance to offer safe amlifier operation.

This is the CX62 by itself

Could you explain this in detail?

I don't want to run active because A) my h/u isn't capable & B) I don't have the knowledge to properly tune an active setup.

Say I run Morel tweeters & the ID CX62's. How would I go about getting a passive crossover?

I don't plan on running an external x-over or EQ....amps are JL Audio 500/1v2 & 300/4v2, they have plenty of built in tuning for what I'm gonna run.

This thread has some nice pictures and information.

Will have to go active or get a really nice xover built. In some cases you may have a 2 ohm midbass and possible a 8 ohm tweeter. I am trying to get someone that can help me build a set. I have two sets of tweeters that have drastically different xover points. that have to run of a channel. I might pm one of these guys to see if they can help me.
