If you can start shooting those numbers consistanly you can get a scholarship for golf at a lot of good schools.

I usually only shoot high 80's or low 90's, but I can hit the 350 yard target on the fly at the range, so I'm happy //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

82 from the men's tees? not exactly scholarship man.
for girl's it usually doesn't take much to get some money for golfing at a D1 school. i'd say consistent low 80's and you're set.

i've been playing half a dozen years or so. was at my best in high school when i worked at a course and played 3-4 times a week.

never got a handicap, but back then i would have been single digit (almost always around 80). i think my lowest round was around a 75. i think i did make 9 holes even par before.

i have:

cleveland launcher 460

cleveland launder 3 and 5 woods

cleveland halo rescue club

cleveland ta5 gunmetal //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i love the gunmetal irons, yes they're old (probably around 2000) but i still like them.

now that i don't play as much it's nice to have a forgiving club //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

i'm kind of a cleveland fanboy (if you can't tell), but i didn't just go out and buy it all at once. it was all one thing at a time while working summers during high school.

i was pretty satisfied with my set, but the new (black) cleveland hibore drivers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

Wow, thread is getting long since I posted on page 1. I have a regular group I play with every time out. Anywhere from 6-10 of us. We go to Scottsdale once a year for a week. Play a different course every day. Grayhawk (both course), Wekopa, and some others. This year, 6 of us are going to Wisconsin to play Whistling Straits. It was a surprise for me from my wife for my 40th B-day. We all are single digit players. Are best player, and he is really good, is a +4 at our local course. He has shot 62 from our championship tees, course record. The boy can move the ball. Makes me sick. I am not a long hitter, maybe 260-275 with driver. He is 50 yard past me. We have another that plays with us once in a while. He has won the Oklahoma long drive 2 years in a row. He is a + handicap as well.

My personal best: 68 on three occassions. Just can not break that mark.

with the ft-3 you HAVE to buy the right shaft...(well for any driver, iron)...i hit 4 different drivers with 4 different shafts and they all had diff. characteristics. Aldila NVS was by far the worst, and Diamana was the best, but it was the most expensive //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

i bought the ft-3 with the diamana in it when it first came out. i played all last season and i loved it. i was the straightest driver id ever hit. i have a rep from callaway and he always hooks me up with all the new equipment and info on them. Im going to buy both the FT-i and FT-5 not sure about shafts yet....actually my FT-3 is at Callaway right now getting the head re-painted (a.k.a they are going to give me a brand new head)
