All Alpine System - Bad Idea? Need help deciding!

Hello to all, I'm currently in the process of compiling parts to redo my audio system in my Mazda6. Head unit: Alpine CDA-9856

Is this basically a shitty setup? I don't know much about car audio however I'd like to get my feet wet. I listen to basically everything, from Rap to Alternative. I'm looking for 6.5" Component speakers in the front and 6x9's in the back. Price is somewhat an issue, I'd prefer not to go over $1000 for this part of the system.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Skip the rear speakers. Just don't use any - period. Pick up an IDQ10 (probably the cost of the rears anyway) and you have a nice little system.

I've heard great things about Focals and CDTs...

Sooo.....would it be a better choice to skip the rears and purchase higher end components for the front from them?

I forgot to mention I'm also running the sound off an Aux Input (CarPC).

yeahhh, I woudlnt stick too much to the all alpine.

if you really want to go for it.

change out the Type R for a different set of comps.

This is an anti-ED place but if you want to skip subs, you could get some EU700's for the rear. They are 6.5" subwoofers. Tang Bend also makes some decent ones that aren't too pricy either.

I'd go with Type S coax. before the R's. Sound a lot clearer imo. A lot of people don't use rear speakers but for me I actually hear my rear ones a lot more than the fronts.

i have x`s in the front *6.5 comps will be amped shortly** and r`s in the rear*5.25 co`s off of the hu*

sounds pretty good tio my ears..not the best but deffenetly not the worst
