Of course mine is waterproof, and I didn't want to buy cleaners. But if you do that, make sure it is COMPLETELY dry before reinstalling it.

Have had alot of newly installed K&N filters on some ford vehilces crap out the Mass Air Flow sensors. Most likely its just crapy ford products but seems to happen fast on fords than other cars.
