aiming subs in truck

Hey guys, I am in need of some advice. I am building (going to build) a center console/ sub box for my truck (78 chhevy std. cab), to hold 2 Shivas. My problem is where do I point the subs. Toward the windshield, rear window, back, forward, bottom firing? I dont' know what would sound best. I was considering downfiring because of the stealth factor. Can anyone gve me some good advice?

I have an Extended Cab and I am Militant about Downfires in the Rear portion of cab scenario and get grief for it from some members..But I do not know if this would be best for you..considering you will be so CLOSE to the sub..I would suspect some sort of Projection in neccessary for good sound...I wonder if any members have any experience with the CENTER CONSOLE concept which is new to me personally..I am curious to see what thier feedback is also!!!

point them to the upper center of the front seats so you can feel it more. If you point both of the subs at each other you'll be able to hear it louder. I wouldn't point them towards the doors or rear wall because the pressure/vibration could cause extra rattles. I've never had my subs setup to downfire.. so I wouldn't know about that. Anyways, when I had my kicker comps setup in my truck I liked it best with them pointed to the center of the bucket seats in the front simply because I could feel it more.
