aiming subs in my std. cab truck

Do you think it would be better to aim my subs at my seats, about 1-2 inches from the back? The seats are pressed agianst the grill guard on the subs and kind of push it in so i'm worried about excursion if i get some new subs... or to aim them up in the air behind the seats?

It seems kind of simple it mind to go with the ones aiming up, but there might be something more complicated about it. It would give me deeper mounting dept and i could fit 2 12's. Might mess up imaging or something. I've just have never seen it that way in a standard cab truck and wondering why.

my sub grill is pressing up against my seat too, but its just fine. it all depends on your car, cuz with my sub pointing up i get some cancellation and it doesnt sounds very good. if it sounds fine pointing up for you, then theres nothing wrong with doing that assuming u have tint/alarm.

I've never tried aiming it up, but if i did aim it up i could fit bigger subs. Do you think i could phase them diffrently to reduce cancellation?

My grills are against the back of my seat for the most part. Sometimes I move the passenger seat up a little. If you have the room you can face them up, I dont. You could also build a downfire box too, that may give you more room for a larger enclosure, I never really have thought about it. I have just always ran mine firing forward. Never had a problem, other then the cone slaps my grills from time to time, really pisses me off. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Bought new grills but when you move the seat back you have to sit in a very uncomfortable position.

It just seems like it would be louder if it wasn't so close to the seats. but how worried should i be of cancellation? Ya i don't want my new subs to hit the grills, i see that as an added bonus if i decided to fire up..

Ya i just drove around with it firing up. I liked i didn't feel it all in my back and was actually feeling it in my chest. but i can't tell if its any weaker from cancelation or just because i don't feel it in my back anymore.
