ahh confused......

alll u need is the channel u are gonna use... if they are going in front (witch im assuming) all u need is a set of RCAs from ure front preout on ure deck...
He is going to be using a 4ch amp bridged to 2ch mono. He wasn't asking which set of preamp outputs on his HU to use....he was asking if he would need 2 channels of input source or 4 to properly setup his amp in its intended usage.

I am not too familiar with any of PG's stuff, mike....

Does that amp have the ability to run a bridged output off of a single-channel input? What I'm asking is normally when you bridge two channels (o most amps in my personal experience anyway) you'll use the positive output from the left channel and the negative output from the right channel to power the single speaker/comp set half/whatever.

If the only input connected is the left rather than the left and the right will the amp work properly? Some do not need the right channel's input when bridged and some do....which is that PG Xenon?

Allow me to rewrite that in English for you. You are attempting to run two channels (right door and left door) off a 4 channel amp. Therefore, you will need to split the either the front or rear preouts on your HU into your 4 channel amp via a Y splitter. This way the signal is fully represented when you combine (ie bridge) the 4 channels into 2. So get yourself a pair of 2 channel RCA's and two Y splitters with one female end and two male ends and split your right and left signals into the front and rear imputs on the amps.

The only amps that I know of that allow you to get away from not doing this are Alpine's.

wow sorry guys im really really confused now im really a noob bad. But it is a pg xenon otherwise im not really sure what it can and cant do. Yes basically i have the tweet and mid together and am going to be running 2 channels off my amp one to each set of tweet and mid or more like to the crossover.

Don't worry man, what are you confused about?? Reread my post and then ask questions accordingly.

Ok so i get the two channel rca and plug that into the back of my hu and use the y splitters to put into my amp?
Yep. I'm assuming that you are going to use the Front preout off your deck for your front speakers, right?? Well, the Front preout on the back of your deck has both a Right and a Left channel to it. So take your two channel RCA's and plug them in and run them to your amp. Now at your amp, just for simplicity purposes, just take the Right one, hook up the Y splitter to it and plug that one into your Front plugs on the amp. Then take your Left one, hook the Y splitter to it and plug that into your Rear plugs on the amp.

Then all you need to do is bridge (combine the + and - on the speaker terminals) the Front channels of your amp and run that speaker wire to your right door crossover. And then do the same for the Rear channels and run that speaker wire to your left door. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Thanks for all the help guys i get it now very very much appreciated! one more question for anyone who would know. Would i be okay to just run 1 run of 0 gauge to my trunk and get a fused distribution block and run one 0 gauge wire in and one 0 gauge wire with a 4 guage reducer on it and one 4 gauge wire out of it for both my amps? Then would i have to fuse again before each amp?
