Affordable 6.5" midbass

Think they will keep up with a HDS15 better than my polks will running off the headunit till I can afford to get a 4 channel amp and better headunit?

I know it'll be difficult right now my head unit only has two outputs so I was gonna run my Kenwood 6.75" components off a two channel amp in the front and since the rears are fairly close to my ears I was gonna leave them off the headunit for now

Thats fine, but i'd move the kenwoods to the back after upgrading the polks. You want the best sounding and loudest speakers up front. You can use RCA splitters too if you want and just get a 4 channel amp. Then upgrade the head unit when possible. OR just hook both speakers up to the same 2 channel amp. The amp should be able to handle a 2 0hm load.

Yes but then my I wouldn't have rear sound right? And the Kenwood are 2ohm speakers

Could I use high level inputs instead until I upgrade head units that way I can still set fade and balance?

I rarely turn up my volume past 20 (goes to 56) so if I have everything tuned right distortion shouldn't be an issue right?

If your using the high level its because you have a stock headunit.

It may only produce .5-2 watts per speaker.

For you to actually hear anything you will have to turn up your gain on the amp which will in the end cause more distortion then to just wire them to a LOC or to the headunit its self.

Get this Amazon.com : PAC SNI-35 Variable LOC Line Out Converter : Power Converters : Car Electronics

and tap it from your rear speaker outputs. The other free pair of RCA output on the head unit should be used for the front. The fader should still work.

I'd suggest you set the gains more properly. You should be at 75% head unit volume and have much lower gain settings all around no bass/ bass boost or loudness features on the head unit should be used. No bass boost should be used on your sub amp either. The head unit putting a stronger pre-out voltage signal is much better than having the amp gains high to compensate.

In using a JVC KDS88BT headunit deffinatley not stock lol

Honestly its not that far off from a stock head unit at all nowadays.

20x4 watts.

Yeah if you keep your volume low you should be good till then.

If you do what jeff said then you would be cutting rca voltage in half, but it would be much better then the hi level input.

If the rca naturally was not for the sub amp then you would still get fade features. The sub amp just needs one rca to work as its a mono and not stereo.
