Aeroport length for a small box HELP

I'm going to be building a box for a 10" type r with 4" external aeroports. I'm guessing two is plenty? Anyways, the port calculator said that I need the port length to be 32.61 in. This is with the box being 1.75 ft^3, tuned to 33hz and with two 4" ports. The problem is that the ports are 17" long.

On the other hand, with one 4" port it says the striaght length needs to be 14.84in with all the other information being the same. But, is one port going to be enough port area?
