Aero Ports? I have some question for everyone

I have a few questions for you guys regarding aero ports.

1. do you like aero ports?

2. what dont you like about aero ports?

3. if they were cheaper would you use them more?

4. what sizes would be ideal?

5. which port do you prefer and why? aero or slotted?

6. would ppl be interested in just flared port ends?

everyone please copy the above questions and answer each one. pls provide any and all opinions, facts, pros and cons.

4. what sizes would be ideal? Every size, and even in between half inchers would be cool.

5. which port do you prefer and why? aero or slotted? Aero, for efficiency. However a roundover on a slot or better yet kerfed works wonderfully as well.

6. would ppl be interested in just flared port ends? I'd rather have them be as efficient as possible. Ie: Flared on both ends.

I might be wrong about this, but I like them because you can make a smaller box without losing internal air space. I slot port takes up more room because of the .75" mdf thickness. Aeros are thinner. For example, if you needed 10 cu ft. common chamber @ 35hz the slot port box would need to be about 20 inches tall. With aeros you can drop the height to 15 inches and still have 10 cubes. That's with 6 4" ports that are 13.66" long. This is the best thing about them IMO. If my math is wrong, someone please explain where I'm wrong because I'd hate to be giving the OP the wrong info?

I know I used 6 4" ports in the example, but you really would need 8 4" ports for 10 cubes or 4 6" ports. The box still won't get that much bigger.
