Aero Ported IDMAX 12. Please check my design before I build it :)

Vehicle: 01 Lexus GS430

Sub: IDMax 12 v3 d4

Amp: Alpine PDX-M12

Volume: 2.55 cu ft.

Freq: 28 Hz

Box Design: 30" width, 13" height, 15" deep (can change), Aero ported box. Sub facing up, 2 4" aero ports facing up, both 7.5" long

Going to put a .5" acrylic window in the front to see sub and leds inside, leaving at least 2" of wood/window overlap, drilling screws at the 1" edge, every 2" down the window. Look at pics for details.

I'll put silicone sealant between the wood and face, then going to put another piece of trim in front. Anything I'm overlooking?

With the port set up you will probally be tuned in the mid 50s not 28. A single 4 inch port 15 inches long would get you close.

I guess I'm wrong that I can't just halve the 15" length into two 7.5" ports. Thanks for correcting me! I can't fit a 15" tube in my box though since it's only going to be 13" high, is there any way around this besides a slot port (I want tuneability with the aeros)?

You would have better luck with a single 3" aero 8" long if my calculations are correct
