ok so here is the plan. 15" AQ HDC3 only off 1200w

sub the plate, port towards the cabin (what is better than this?)

i have 4.2^3 to work with before any displacements

i want optimum output w/o dipping below 4 cubes before sub displacement

i have used a couple calculators to figure length w/ a 6inch port

i will use proper flared ports.

the calc. recommended 10.61in of length (for 36 hz)

will this provide optimum output? if not, what will?

Use the calculator on psp to find the correct amount of length required for the aero.

As for the driver and port orientation, sort of need to know what it's going in to help you out. Usually you want to put the box as far back as it can go, facing and firing away from you.

in a truck that is true you have to push the box far back as you want then it will be loud i know in my trunk i have one rd elite 15 on about 1200watts box sealed i was puttin up 40's in a 2cuft box before sub displacement and its pretty **** loud enough.. you just have to play with it or just go with what you got i am sure you like what you doing

trunk car

6" aero port is sufficient in a trunk car do sub back port back or some people fire the sub sideways and the port back, but the general idea is sub back port back and the box as far back as possible, make sure to leave room around the box so the sound wave can return to the cabin (basically dont seal the trunk from the cabin with the box)

In my cars, all trunks, it was different with every one of them. My latest Cadillac and sub is loudest sub up/port back and so was my Mellinia. My other two Cadi's were loudest sub/port back, but my first one was loudest sub/port forward, not sealed off. You'll have to just move the box around in the car to find out whats loudest in your car.

Sealing it to the front would be ideal, but it takes a good bit of time and effort

=) not really one for time and effort. and w/ space limitations an issue, i think i will go back/back
