Aero Port for two 8's

My box is about 1.94 cubes after sub displacement. I'm just wanting to know what you guys would do if you aeroported the box. I am trying to learn the aeroport thing. From what research that I've done, I'm guessing that I need about 18-22 in2 of port. I want the box tuned to 33hz. TIA! If you want to talk shit, that's fine, we can do that too. Just a serious question though.

You wouldn’t need that much port area for aero ports. You’d need a 6 inch aero port to reach 18-22 sq inches. I’m 99% sure you couldn’t fit a 6 inch aero inside the box. Maybe with a significant piece of the port outside the box, a 6 inch may work. A 4 inch should do fine with that air space. You could do 2 smaller ports for looks, but it might diminish sound quality or output. I’ve always stuck to 1 port myself, even though 2 looks better to my eyes.

A 4 inch would only give me 12.57 in2 of port. A 6 inch would be around 28.2 in2 of port, maybe too much. The port has to fire up also, so, my box height is only 13". Thanks for the reply man. This shit is confusing.

O.k., I thought that I read somewhere that you still want at least 8-10 in2 per cube. Thanks man, we'll figure something out.
