Advantages of fan cooled vs non fan cooled amp

What are the advantages of using an amp that is fan cooled vs. non fan cooled? Also what are the disadvantages?

just a difference in thermal handling design.

no pros/cons, really.

an amp without built-in fans may have a better heat sink design.

some fans can bring dust and debris into the amp, depending on the orientation.

Definitely dislike fans inside they ALWAYS seemed to collect dust on the inside and on the fan blades plus their sometimes loud as ****.

My 4 channel is fan cooled and I can mount that thing anywhere and it never overheats! I can't hear the fan and its 1 ohm stable stereo and 2 ohms stable bridged

well, allot of advantages to fan cooling..... for one, you get more cooling. this means you can push it harder, mount it in more places, and more reliability, for the circuit design, that is. comparing apples to apples. the disadvantages- well, fans are mechanical, therefore, they can break, or wear out and start to make noise, and the above mentioned dust, but you can usually clan that up easily, unless it's smoke. smoke sticks to everything.
