depends. generally a larger box means you'll need less power to get the sub going

Ok, so a bigger box takes less power. Does it affect the performance of the sub?? As im making it sound "muddy"??

in a smaller enclosure the bass will be "tighter" and in a larger enclosure it will be "boomier"

Ok, thats what I was trying to understand. But it's not recommended to make the box "smaller" than the 2.2 cu.ft. (ported), right?? You want to make the box as close to specs as possible correct?? Thx for all the help. I just want to make sure that it's going to be dove right, and give me the best sound I can get.
