Wouldn't it be vibration dampening? Vibration fixation just sounds dumb. They added fixation rods to the board so that it won't vibrate as much. So no, I'm not "making sh1t up bro."
Another internet professional I assume?
So does saying dampening instead of damping.Wouldn't it be vibration dampening? Vibration fixation just sounds dumb.
With Brazilian amps being banned in most comps, this idea of space saving is out the door now.Personally I've had really good luck with Brazilian amps (Stetsom to be specific).... my only complaint was the noisy fans. For the purpose of playing music the ability to drive half ohm or 1 ohm is pretty pointless since 90%+ of the time you'll be well over that if you're playing a variety of music, so just wiring to a safe DCR and letting it ride works out about the same either way. Even for SPL purposes if you KNOW what your impedance is at the frequency you burp you can plan around that and get whichever is appropriate. A lot of competitors use Brazilian amps for the space savings alone. Trying to fit 20KW worth of Chinese/Korean amps into a no-wall vehicle is very impractical compared to going Brazilian.
Not to say "I told you so" but I told you a couple times that these Brazilian amps liked higher source signal. I'd suggest that relying on your head unit isn't going to do you any favors so buy yourself a pre-amp.****Update*****
I increased the subwoofer level on my headunit and decreased my amplifier gain. Now I can pull hairtricks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif)))))))))
I'll changed the settings during lunch and didn't have much time to shoot a video. The best hairtrick is with my friend christian who has long hair. He's a guy, lol. Gabby's hairtrick wasn't as good, but I'll include that just so there's a girl. It's a different girl than the Gabbie that some of you members know about //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
I can probably get more videos tomorrow that are better. I had five minutes before class to do these, lol. I'll upload in a few minutes. Might take a while
When an amp is used for mids and highs or a quick burp it doesn't vibrate too much. As I said they weren't really designed for how we use them.U mean they put board support In The amp that it should have had in the first place?
I may try thatNot to say "I told you so" but I told you a couple times that these Brazilian amps liked higher source signal. I'd suggest that relying on your head unit isn't going to do you any favors so buy yourself a pre-amp.
From my experience even with some Sundown amps when I used to run them pre-amp + less gain on the amp gained on the meter.
Fixation rods = vibration fixation in my book. It's not using a soft material to absorb vibration, it's holding it all together firmly.Wouldn't it be vibration dampening? Vibration fixation just sounds dumb.
I had the original Stetsom 7K (one that was used by Dante) and a newer 4k2d. I don't think I ever really put the 7K to the test.... subs I had at the time just wouldn't take it for very long, but I beat the crap out of that 4K. If I could have found more of those 4kd2s I'd probably be running those right now.... particularly at the price they go out for used.Which model with the fans were loud. Mine only seemed to come on during actual playing of the system, had 3 fans and I could never hear them when they engaged on. Had a stetsom 3K3
The 1dB you would gain (if you're incredibly lucky) by going from 12-16V will be inaudible, but I guess you've got money to burn so don't let me hold you back.... follow your dreams.I'd try Stetsom. They seem different in many ways. The board is completely different, they're stable below 1 ohm, and can accept 18v
Never heard of that. What orgs have banned those amps? Any explanation why? With Brazilian amps being banned in most comps, this idea of space saving is out the door now.
In your position stetsom was best, in reality stetsom has been around longer then most korean board makers so its very hard to compare stetsom to taramps.
By most competitions you mean MWSPL which is quite small and maybe partially in DB drag? FYI the DSP series aren't banned from Db drag as they clamp just fine on the magnum. Not sure on the HD10k but I would assume its in the same boat. MECA has already said they do not want to be unfair to Brazilians as a lot of their competitors use them. With Brazilian amps being banned in most comps, this idea of space saving is out the door now.

MWSPL banned them as they "couldn't be clamped by the termlab magnum" and db drag talked about doing the same next season. They claim noise from the amp throws off the clamp but from what I've seen all it takes is proper placement of the clamp probe and it works fine.I had the original Stetsom 7K (one that was used by Dante) and a newer 4k2d. Argument? I wasn't arguing I was trolling, get it right.Fixation rods = vibration fixation in my book. It's not using a soft material to absorb vibration, it's holding it all together firmly.
Your argument fell through so now you complain about semantics I see.
