i play my music at 45/62 when im cruisin but if i show off sometimes 50/62 which is what its tuned at. my speakers dont get any bass with the hpf at 400hz. if im going to play my stuff at 50 should i keep the bass at 0 and eq all at 0 or can i turn them up a bit for more bass? I have done with once with bass at 2 and all music seemed to cut out real quick for a sec like clipping almost. i think it might have been a scratched cd tho and i was just paranoid. any suggestions?

With a HPF of 400hz it seems to me that you are putting a lot of load on the sub which may be causing the problem. Maybe bump that down to 100-120hz which will take a lot of load of your sub and add a little more bass to your speakers.

no my speaker amp hpf is at 400 hz. hu hpf is off
It doesn't matter which crossover you're using to set the hpf, because either way you're cutting off all frequencies below 400 Hz from getting to your speakers. That is why you have no midbass.

Turn the hpf down to around 100 Hz. You may be able to go even lower than that, depending on the speakers, but be careful.

I have an Alpine amp that has clicks i guess ud call it with numbers so i can get it exact. also wouldnt having it at 400 lessen the load on my speakers becuase the amp isnt trying to reproduce any frequency under 400 hz?
