If you love the Shiva and can't find it, just get the Dayton 12DVC from Partsexpress. It is a drop-in replacement for the Shiva, and the specs are almost identical. And... it is cheaper!

id rather have an IDQ over it. i had a tempest [same thing as a shiva but 15"] and i have an IDQ12 and a pair of IDQ15's and id take the idqs over the shiva\tempest anyday.
first reason is the tempest\shiva were DVC8, second reason is you can find the IDQ for the same price if you look hard enough.

What the heck is this "reported" stuff? The original post had the sub for a great price and I hope it sells. I was simply commenting on the fact that others seemed to want to find their own Shivas, and couldn't - so I suggested where they could find a carbon copy at a good price (retail prices of the two subs, not used.)

aside from rather having an IDQ - the tempest was an awesome sub - i had it in a 4cf sealed box with about 400w.

no problem req,I actually owned both subs as well(Tempest/Shiva) great performers for the price.I'm still using a Shiva for the HT & it rocks.The Tempest would have required a big box which I didnt have the room for.
