I personally think they don't look like anything special. To me they kinda look like a generic speaker. But alot of people here rave about em. I know I know don't judge a book by its cover...

Yes, they are. In both output, and sound quality. Impressive in every regard.

Hey at least if someone sees your subs like maybe theifs or something then they will think that your subs are crap cuz they arent that fancy or anything. Thats the way I look at it, thats what most theifs go for, they think the fancier the better. In other words if you have sony's new subs then you are a theif magnet pretty much lol.

I have a Shiva... you won't be dissapointed if you get one. I never crank it and don't care much how loud it gets, but it sounds quite good at the low/medium levels I listen to.
