I was jes hoping one of you guys could give me sort of a rundown on what these abbreviations mean and what they mean pertaining to the sub.

Qts: Ich be ein littre volumen

Qes: Frouline Thielle masse dans unkt

Qms: Das smalle tussen volumen

Fs: sucht vein resonat

Re:

Rp:

Dia: eist measured ein metres

(% shift)

16.3 %

Vas: volumen ein littrehosen

Mms:

Cms: dust ein commas

Bl:

n0:

SPL: vor notra cors bas

Sd:

Xmax: est ein schiznit

That's what I know... I'm sure the others can fill in the rest.

Fs is the free air resonant frequency ...... the freq. that it vibrates the most in free air

re is the actual impedance (ohms)

qms is mechanical q.......spider surround cone weight

qes is electrical q.......magnet strength VC

qts is total q

q is the subs tendancy to resonante at fs

sd is cone area

Vas is the volume of air that has the same complience as the subs suspension......... basically tells you the looseness of the suspension (bigger vas=looser sus)

xmax is how much it moves one way, u can go beyond xmax on some subs (not much on the xxx) but anything over xmax is non-linear (shitty sounding)

bl is the strenth of the motor

spl is how loud it is from one meter away wih one watt

rms is the continuous power it can take

max is usually the peak power it can take for a split second

thanks for that...

careful...most of it was wrong //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

For example:

re is the actual impedance (ohms)
No, Re is the DC resistence. "Actual" impedance will vary by frequency, etc etc.

Nominal impedance (what the speaker is "rated" impedance wise) is Znom.

qms is mechanical q.......spider surround cone weight
No, the weight of the soft/moving parts is Mms (moving mass).

qes is electrical q.......magnet strength VC
No, motor strength is Bl
