Adding another set of tweeters?

You will need a separate crossover or high-pass filter. You can't add another set to your existing component set crossover because changing the ohms will change the frequency they are crossed-over at. Just parallel them in. One set of tweets shouldn't lower the overall ohms of your system enough to impact your amp (or HU)

BOO to all of these replys. If you hook in the tweeter parallel to the other tweeter it will lower the overall crossover point for both the woofer and tweeters meaning: Your tweets will get lower frequencies resulting in damage to both sets.

If you just run the tweeter directly to the amp then you will be sending it low frequencies as well (even if you have the HPF on; it doesn't go that high).

You can hook a 7.9-9.9 uF capacitor in series on the positive side of the tweeter and that will work as a 4000-5000 Hz HP Filter. (If its 4 Ohms)

If its 2 Ohms then use a 15.9-19.9 uF Capacitor.

If you do, make sure it is as close to the tweeter as possible.
