Adding another battery***

I'm currently running a red top optima batt....thinking about running another batt....should i go with another red top...or can i also use kinetic in conjunction with the optima?....what series kinetic should i buy?...i'm currently running a total of 1,600w rms....i've heard that you shouldn't mix batteries because over time it'll kill both batteries...is this true?....oh well...i need help caraudio.com experts...bless me with your knowledge.....peace 0

its not good to mix and match batts cause over time one might kill the other. I would get two new yellow tops, one up front and one in the back. I love the yellow tops because they are a true deep cycle battery. If you wanted even better batts then optima look into Kinetik or Odyssey. Good Luck...

i thought so....so adding another red top wouldn't do?...both would have to be brand new for it to last?........i just got the red top so i don't really wanna buy 2 new batts....but i guess i have to.....

if you get an isolator you wouldnt have a problem....but if you just do positve and negative hookup they would figiht over power.....and go powermaster....best batteries around.
