this may be a dumb question but right now i have 0 gauge wire going from battery under my hood to battery in the trunk, now if i add a second battery in my trunk i will run 0 gauge power wire from 1st battery to 2nd battery and same with the ground, right now i have the power wire from my amp going to the 1st battery in my trunk, am i gonna have to move the power wire from my amp from the 1st battery to 2nd battery or does it matter

As stated, won't matter. The amp could even be connected to a distro block that the front and rear power wires all merge at.

ok thanks, for some reason i thought i might ahve to. So just to make sure i made myself clear, the battery in my trunk which is closest to my battery under the hood is the one with the power wire from my amp connected to it and you're saying that even after adding a second battery after the first one in my trunk, i can leave the amp power wire on the first battery. I guess since they're in parrallel it doesn't matter which one has the amp power wire connected to it?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Exactly. Seems like it would be much easier to use the existing power wire for the new battery and just run short lengths from the second battery to the amp though. It's up to you though, either should work fine.

thanks guys, just making sure. Its alot easier to add the second battery without having to disconnect the amp from the first and reconnect it to the second
