Adding a new sub maybe? Need some advice.

I will start by describing what I am trying to do. I am trying to add a single 8” sub to the back of my Cadillac SRX. The problem is that GM will not release an adapter that will allow you to modify the stereo system nor can you bypass/replace the factory amp because the door chimes, navigation and hands free control go through the amp.

So since I just want to add a single sub with its on amp I was wondering if it is possible to use the existing speaker connections and piggy back the new amp off the output of the old amp. I have a wiring schematic that I have edited to show what I was thinking about doing. So basically i would like to know if it will work.

you need to find the speaker inputs of the amp , and tap in your loc or integration module there
