adding a batt ??

right now i have two batts one up front stock and yellow top in the back. i have the stock alt, as of right now i can find a alt that works for my car. if i add another batt in the back another yellow top i am dont have much of a voltage drop about a volt. will another batt make any diffrence or will it just kill the alt.

i am asking will another battire in the back to add to my 2 that i have now will it help with my voltage drop
